雷神突击队二班班长王威，1993出生，陕西咸阳人。现任“雷神”突击队二队狙击手，专长近距离精准射击，空军下士军衔。获得优秀士兵一次，2015年1月至7月于广州特种作战学院学习荣获优秀骨干。高中毕业的王威，在求学与梦想面前，由于看了电视剧《我是特种兵》他倍受鼓舞，他毅然选择了携笔从戎，立志要当上特种兵。人物经历军旅生活仅仅如此的话，那远远不够，因为他的心中怀揣着一个特种兵之梦。2014年，他如愿通过了严格的考核来到了特种部队，面对三十多个科目的超强度高难度训练。王威感叹到，自己那时就是个“菜鸟”。体力跟不上，他就比别人早起练体能；格斗不行，他常利用站岗时间练格斗的姿势定型；攀登不及格，每次进出门他就拉几个引体向上。
